Ask Yourself …

Some aspects of Self — the emerging ones — the “big ones” or life-changing ones especially — take a lot of nurturing — a lot of coaxing up and out. From our inner depths. For they’re the ones closest to our hearts. We guard them fiercely. Treasure them the most.

Go into meditation — 10 minutes daily, if that’s what you have — and ask yourself what’s ready to step forward. What would this part of yourself like to say? What is it ready to reveal? What does it sound like? Familiarize yourself with this voice. Encourage it to speak.

In Order To Move Forward …

In order to bypass the ego — perhaps the biggest mental block there is — and let’s make that the biggest existing block to balance within body, mind and spirit in general — you must desire at least a small amount of change. And at least be willing to try.

Essential Oils For Spiritually Sensitive Children

My middle child, Rafe, age 7, is very empathic, meaning he is sensitive to and absorbs the energy within his environment — especially the energy created from the thoughts, words and emotions of other people. He becomes overwhelmed and emotional; angers quickly and cries easily. Trying to rationalize with him does not help, despite a calm voice and my best efforts.

Our best antidote has come from a tiny bottle of blended essential oils. It soothes Rafe’s moods and helps to even his temperament. I apply it to Rafe’s belly and back — dab it on and rub it in — once or twice per day.

I believe the essential oils help to create an energetic barrier around Rafe’s energy field (or aura) — the missing link which helps Rafe to feel more comfortable in his own skin. The essential oils help to protect him from the swirling energies that his young body and sensitive emotions are not yet equipped to manage.

The essential oil application works best if used prior to large amounts of energy exposure; for example, before school, before a friend’s birthday party or before a trip to the mall. Anywhere Rafe will be exposed to crowds of people (in physical form and in spiritual form).

Rafe is sensitive to spirit energy also. He provides vivid and accurate descriptions of archangels and earth spirit. He loves to share these with me because he knows that I, as a medium, see our spirit friends too; and we reassure each other that there’s nothing to be afraid of.

Rafe tends to see the most Spirit when he’s trying to fall asleep. For this reason, at times, we’ll apply the essential oils just before bedtime. While the essential oils will not protect Rafe from spirit communication exclusively, they do help to soothe his fears and reduce the overwhelm he once felt when confronted with spirit messaging (seeing and hearing his own spirit guides and sensing other forms of spirit in general).

Below is the recipe I use for making essential oil applications for my children. For Rafe, I purchased the “Little Angels” blend online from Floracopeia. It’s a blend of lavender, cedar, chamomile and vetiver essential oils.

Recipe:
1 oz. (2 tbsp.) fractionated coconut oil
6 drops of Little Angels

Beginning A Meditation Practice

Meditation is a way for your soul to connect with God and the universe. Each of us needs this connection in order to feel nourished, complete and fulfilled.

When I first began channeling, Archangel Gabriel encouraged me to begin a meditation practice. I’ll be honest: The idea sounded ridiculous to me. I was a stay-at-home mom of three children, with one in school and two at home. I didn’t know where to start.

Archangel Gabriel suggested I sit on a comfortable chair, cross my legs, and put my hands — palms facing up — on my knees. He said this shows I am open to receive.

So, I tried it. At night, after my kids went to bed. And do you know what happened? I fell asleep. I’d go into meditation and fall asleep. Every time.

But the important thing was I tried.

I then asked my angels and guides to help me find other ways to meditate. Here’s what I realized. Meditation takes on many forms. I opened my mind in meditation when I took a walk outdoors; while I folded laundry; during my morning shower. I tried to clear my mind of scattered thoughts … and simply listen.

What did I hear? My voice. The voice of my soul. Intermingled with the voice of God and the angels. Encouragement. Ideas. Inspiration. Truths.

I also joined a Monday night meditation group at a local spiritual center. And that really got the ball rolling. Once I became more comfortable practicing within a group of likeminded individuals, it felt easier to try to meditate a little more at home.

The idea is to keep it simple, sister. Take baby steps. Begin with a meditation that lasts for five minutes; then, build up to 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes or more. Take a few deep breaths, clear your mind of thoughts, and listen.

Eventually you will slip into deeper and deeper states of meditation. And enjoy the many benefits of meditation, like reduced stress, better sleep, improved health, a greater sense of well-being and — ultimately — peace. In addition, meditation is an important tool in developing your intuition.

The key is to continue practicing.

“Ground Yourself, Darling”

The archangels frequently remind me to ground myself throughout the day. They recommend I ground myself two or three times each day — so morning, noon and night. Grounding ensures a balanced and consistent flow of energy within my body as I direct it, or ground it, down into Mother Earth and up into the Divine.

When I began channeling, I quickly realized I needed a grounding practice in order to be a clear channel. I asked, and Archangel Sandalphon offered the following prayer for grounding and alignment: “Dearest Archangel Sandalphon, please help me unite my core energy with the Earth’s core energy. Please help me realign my thoughts, words, actions and beliefs in accordance with God’s divine plan.” Some days I end with “God’s divine will,” if I’m struggling with acceptance of a particular area in my life.

Reciting the prayer is one half of my grounding practice; the other half is a visualization technique. I envision a gold column of light extending from my core to the Earth’s core; then, a bright blue column of light connecting my core to the Divine. This ensures I am rooted firmly to the Earth below, or my physical nature; while remaining faithful to my spiritual nature — open to receive love, guidance, support and clear messages from the heavens above.
